Walters, TracyTracy E. Walters, M.Ed., ECSE, IMH-E, ERS, EOLD is Virginia’s former Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator in the Office of Child & Family Services (DBHDS), and currently the Executive Director of The Cottage School RVA. Tracy brings 38 years of experience in early childhood education and early intervention, with the later part of her career dedicated to infant/early childhood mental health and attachment. Tracy is an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor, an advisory member for the Virginia Mental Health Access Project, and adjunct faculty at VCU. Tracy leads the Infant Mental Health and Attachment course with a practical, relationship-based lens to strengthen caregiver–child attachment and
early relational health. Tracy is truly passionate about providing information and
education on the importance of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. She views IECMH work as vital to a child’s overall health and development and believes that it serves as a leveraging tool for social justice.
