Description
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music Level III Training is an in-depth study and practice of GIM. This 24 hour training module provides an in-depth exploration of the unique function of music as the central focus of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). Emphasis is placed upon establishing a deeper knowledge of using music as co-therapist, understanding musical language as it relates to GIM, the composer’s historical era and intentions, enhancing guiding skills, and matching music to client presenting issues. An overview of the music programs for clinical use and their power to harmonize the psyche will be considered in depth. Likewise, the use of GIM music programs for archetypal themes and transpersonal openings will also be discussed. This course also includes several skill labs to become proficient in music based guiding interventions and being able to choose the best program for client needs and readiness. Experience in writing music summary projects through working in groups is also included. This will become a template for the remainder of the required music program write ups.
