Description
This course explores effective support strategies with sickle cell disease (SCD) to stay as healthy as possible. This course has three (3) lessons: recommended health screenings and care; living a healthy life with a chronic disease such as sickle cell disease; and exercise in patients with SCD.
Course Outcome:Define ways CHWs can assist the patient with a chronic disease such as SCD to manage their activities of daily living, live a healthy lifestyle and become more self-sufficient.
