Description
This course will help you understand cash flow reports, identify internal and external funding sources, and evaluate your company’s cash cycle. You’ll also explore how to project cash needs, improve collection and payment strategies, and effectively approach lenders or investors for funding.
Whether you're managing daily operations, overseeing budgets, or simply want to better understand where the money goes, this course will equip you with practical tools to improve your business's financial agility.
Course Outcomes
- Explain why cash flow is essential to business survival and identify cash-critical stages in the business lifecycle.
- Identify internal and external sources of cash and understand how to leverage them for short- and long-term needs.
- Analyze and interpret cash flow statements and projected cash flow reports.
- Evaluate and improve the cash cycle, and calculate how it affects liquidity.
- Forecast cash needs, determine when injections are required, and distinguish which needs can be met internally vs. externally.
- Assess funding options, including debt and equity sources, and understand the expectations of lenders and investors.
- Develop and present a pitch or request for funding, tailored to investors or financial institutions.
