Description
This noncredit online asynchronous course is the first course of the “Sickle Cell Care Coordination for Achieving Patient Empowerment” project, hereafter referred to as SCCAPE. This course, developed by the Department of Internal Medicine’s Sickle Cell Disease Program team and supported by VCU Continuing and Professional Education & LEDstudio, is designed to introduce community healthcare workers, and others in the field, to Sickle Cell Disease and review the types of disease, the complications of the disease, the pain, treatments, and how patients move from pediatric to adult services.

- Pain in Sickle Cell Disease
