Prerequisites: Foundations of Instructional Design: Introduction to Instructional Design, Foundations of Instructional Design: Theory and Models, Foundations of Instructional Design: Needs Assessment and Learning Analysis, Foundations of Instructional Design: Curricular Approaches and Learning Strategies, and Foundations of Instructional Design: Instructional Design Project Management
This capstone course provides learners an opportunity to use their instructional design knowledge and skills they have learned in the Foundations of Instructional Design program in a hands-on project to design a training or a course. Learners will begin by identifying a real-world training need or course and conduct a needs assessment and learner analysis to determine appropriate learning models and curricular approaches to implement. Once a plan has been established, learners will create a storyboard and develop appropriate content and assessments for their project. This asynchronous online course should take about an hour a day for 4 weeks (15 - 20 hours) to unlock your digital badge.
