Description
This 40-hour intensive program covers all aspects of starting and operating a professional event planning business. Learn best practices, methods, and techniques to get started in the planning industry.
Networking and client relationship management
Contracts, negotiation, and budget planning
Destination Weddings
Bridal shows
Marketing and social media for your business
Coordinating and directing events
Topics include:
Registration fee includes instruction, curriculum, eTextbook, exam fee, certificate from the Wedding Planning Institute, student center library of resources, instructional videos and templates. Through the online student center, students can connect with other students around the world in discussion boards, messaging, blogs and individual online classes. Through the Lovegevity Career Center, students can apply for internships and/or job placement assistance.

Registration Deadline: Registrations will be accepted through June 21, 2023.Cancellation/Refund Policy: You may cancel your registration up until 7 days prior to the course start date, and receive a full refund minus any credit card processing fees. Cancellations must be received via email at ocpe@vcu.edu
